This outing will serve as an early pilot for Terra Days, Amka Terra’s community volunteer stewardship program created to bring people together through hands-on service, local environmental care, and meaningful community connection.
For this pilot, Amka Terra is participating in a confirmed group volunteer opportunity with Trees Atlanta at Fraser Forest. Space has been reserved for our group, and participation is limited.

Forest Restoration at Frazer Forest with Trees Atlanta

Focus: Young tree care, urban green space stewardship, and hands-on volunteer service

Amka Terra will participate in a confirmed Trees Atlanta tree-care opportunity at Piedmont Park as the pilot activation for Terra Days, our community volunteer stewardship program.
During the volunteer session, participants will support the care of young trees in the park through hands-on stewardship tasks that may include removing weeds around tree bases, refreshing mulch, watering, checking tree conditions, and helping with staking or other care needs as directed by Trees Atlanta.
This work supports the long-term health of Atlanta’s urban tree canopy. Young trees need continued care after planting so they can establish strong roots, withstand urban conditions, and grow into lasting sources of shade, habitat, beauty, and environmental benefit.
Volunteers should be prepared for active outdoor work. Tasks may involve bending, lifting light materials, using basic tools, carrying water or mulch, and working in warm weather conditions. Trees Atlanta will provide project guidance and direct volunteers on site.
After the volunteer session, Amka Terra plans to host a casual lunch/picnic in the park from 12:00 PM–2:00 PM for participating volunteers. This will give the group time to gather, reflect on the morning’s service, and connect around the broader purpose of Terra Days.
