Amka Terra’s first Terra Days outing brought a small group of volunteers together with Trees Atlanta for a morning of hands-on tree care at Freedom Park.

Originally scheduled for Piedmont Park, the project was relocated due to the Piedmont Park Arts Festival. The change in location didn’t change the purpose of the morning: showing up, working together, and contributing directly to the care of an Atlanta green space.

Volunteers supported young trees by moving and spreading mulch and assisting with ongoing tree-care work under the guidance of Trees Atlanta.

The morning concluded with lunch together afterward, creating time for the group to connect after the service project.

This outing marked the beginning of Terra Days as Amka Terra’s recurring community volunteer stewardship program.
